“It’s our anniversarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry!”
Loch Bar in Baltimore was were my honey and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary this year (2022). We stumbled upon this chic restaurant while in Downtown Baltimore one evening and we bookmarked a return to try it out.
We were not disappointed at all – at all. The seafood was fresh, inviting and so flavorful. The vibes within the restaurant and the views by the water (The Harbor) were incredible. Check out our experience with below and let me know your thoughts!
For appetizers, we ordered the Scallop Ceviche, a delicacy of ” day-boat sea scallop, lime, sweet potato puree, red onion, banana (where?!), mango, pepitas and cilantro” per the restaurant’s menu. This baby here was the unexpected but delicious! As an adventurous, flavor-chaser eater, I’d order this again!
My honey ordered the Maine Lobster Roll with a side of french fries. Listen – that roll that cradled the lobster was amazing!! The lobster was fresh yet light in flavor. The fries were pretty good too. Together his entrée was truly delicious – and did I take a bite? Yes, yes I did!
I ordered the Maryland Crab Cakes with a side of Fried Brussels sprouts. Baby, it did NOT disappoint! The crab cakes were so full and filling, I actually took one home in a doggie bag. I strongly don’t believe that there was a lick of imitation crab in that either – lol. Now these brussels sprouts; our waitress did recommend and they were incredible. Sweet and delectable; and the next day – even sweeter! Side note – not a big sauce girl, but my honey said it was dashing with the crab cake, but I left those opinions for him to take for the team. Lol.
As we don’t drink, but to wash down our delicious meals, we ordered bottled distilled water courtesy of Voss – so crisp and clean.
A new fan!
My take? Do ittttttttttttttttttttttttt! Be prepared to spend some nice coins and if you’re into it, try the lobster. We caught a glimpse of the smaller size lobster and she looked delicious! Our next plan is to try the restaurant for lunch and see how we still love it.
